In the year 1966, Comercial y Aceros de León starts operations as
an answer to the requirements of the construction industry. With
time, Comercial y Aceros de León discovers a new market: special
steels for the machinery and tooling utilized by the shoe and food
industries. That is how, in 1974, Metales y Aceros is born.
In 1980 arises a new project: supply the need for cut and formed
to size metal sheets. Serviacero de León was the result. April 3
of 2000 marked the beginning of a new era for these enterprises:
they have come together under a single name – “Serviacero” –
creating synergy focused in comprehensively satisfying the steel
needs of their customers.
Nowadays, Serviacero comprises more than 10 service centers
located in the states of Guanajuato, Jalisco, Querétaro y San Luis
Potosí.
