Location:

35 km northwest of Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, on the banks of the Amistad Dam.

Beginnings:

Introduction of feet of mule deer breeding-stock

Current population:

180 specimens, with a goal of reaching 2000.

Benefits:

• Ecological reserve for mule deer and other animal and plant species native to the region.

• • Recovery of the flora, through planting of walnuts, maple, cottonwood and ash trees, as well as replanting prickly pear.

Contribution outside:

Project for replenishing bura deer in areas appropriate for their conservation.
